St Kilda Probus Club

The Probus Club of St Kilda is one of many Probus clubs throughout Australia.

Probus is an association of retirees who seek opportunities to keep their minds active, expand their interests and to enjoy the fellowship of new friends. The name "Probus" is derived from an abbreviation of "Professional" and "Business", indicating that generally our members spent their working life in professional and business areas of activity. There are thousands of Probus clubs around the world.

St Kilda Probus is a social club for active retirees that meets on the first Monday of each month to hear from a variety of guest speakers, and then journeys on the third Monday of the month to places of interest, stopping on the way for a picnic, morning tea and then lunch at pubs.

As well as these activities, the club has a fortnightly Canasta game, group outings to live theatre such as Evita, monthly Sunday lunches, and Christmas in July and real Christmas lunch in December at the Savoy.
