Housing and homelessness support services

Supports are available for people experiencing homelessness, housing crisis, and difficulty in private rental.

I am experiencing difficulty in finding or affording private rental

There are 44% of residents in the City of Port Phillip who are renting. There is a housing crisis across Australia and Council has advocated to State and Federal governments to address this.

If you need help with private rental support visit Launch Housing, Consumer Affairs Victoria or Tenants Victoria

Launch Housing’s Private Rental Assistance Program (PRAP) provides people at risk of, or experiencing homelessness with financial and practical assistance to establish and maintain private rental tenancies.

I am concerned about someone that may be experiencing homelessness

We work together with local groups through Port Phillip Zero to reduce rough sleeping. The project has a real-time list of everyone we know is sleeping rough and works together to find housing and support solutions for each person.

You can help by letting us know if you come across someone who may be experiencing homelessness so we can reach out to them to offer care and support.
