Our story
City of Port Phillip has a rich history shaped by the unique communities of Port Melbourne, South Melbourne and St Kilda.
Since its formation in 1994, City of Port Phillip has grown into a diverse organisation delivering more than 100 services and programs that support people who live, work, visit and do business in the municipality.
Today, our people work across a wide range of services. Together, we help create a city that is welcoming, inclusive and vibrant.

Our work environment
Whether you are working at our Operations Centre, South Melbourne Market, our various childcare centres or at St Kilda Town Hall, there is a real sense of passion and purpose.
We have modern, open-plan office facilities with sit-stand desks, lockers, private booths to collaborate with your colleagues, break areas, designated lunchrooms and end-of-trip facilities for Town Hall based employees.
