A Report and Consent is a formal request for Council approval under the Building Regulations 2018 for the following matters:
- Non-compliant building siting (Part 5 & 6)
- Protection of Public (Regulation 116)
- Building Over Easement (Regulation 130)
- Building in areas liable to flooding (Regulation 153)
- Building on designated land or for designated works (Regulation 154)
- Use of a Place of Public Entertainment (Regulation 206)
- Siting of Temporary Structures (Regulation 207)

How to apply
To submit your application online:
- Register or log in to My Port Phillip
- On the home screen, select "Apply for a permit or application"
- Select Report and Consents
- Select the report and consent required from the list
- Enter the property address
- Complete the required questions
- Lodge
- Confirmation - Accept terms and conditions of use
- Summary - Attach any required documents
- Payment - Securely pay by credit card
