A brand-new bouldering wall in Fishermans Bend is now open for climbing! Part of a new program focused on under-utilised public land.

OpenLots is a municipal-wide program focusing on activating under-utilised or vacant land. Landowners can enter into temporary licensing agreements with the Council, allowing for the creation of impermanent public spaces for the local community.

The Fishermans Bend Bouldering Wall marks the inaugural initiative under the OpenLots Program and is now open at 130 Normanby Road, South Melbourne. This project was delivered in collaboration with Victoria's Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) and is set to remain in place for several years, providing an exciting recreational opportunity for residents and visitors alike, in an area identified as requiring additional public space.
