The City of Port Phillip is one of only five local governments in Australia to achieve compliance with the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy (GCoM) Common Reporting Framework for climate reporting.

The GCoM is a global network of local governments who have committed to taking action on climate change and includes 10,597 cities from 120 countries.

The GCoM evaluated the City of Port Phillip’s climate change mitigation and adaptation plans and has awarded full compliance with all climate change adaptation and mitigation requirements.
