School Holiday Activities For Teens

Join the Youth Services team for some epic activities every term break!

Warm up these school holidays with a bunch of fun activities including Ice Skating, Go Karting, Board Game Bonanza, Library Lock In and more.

Sunday 6 July - Rawkus Live All Ages Gig @ The Espy Basement (1 pm to 4 pm)

Thursday 10 July - Ice Skating @ O'Brien Icehouse (10 am to 1.30 pm)

Friday 11 July - Board Game Bonanza @ Port Melbourne Library (1 pm to 4 pm)

Friday 11 July - Port Melbourne Skate Park Opening (11 am to 2 pm)

Friday 11 July - Bike Workshop @ Skinners Adventure Playground

Tuesday 15 July - Art Attack @ Albert Park Library (3 pm to 5 pm)

Friday 18 July - Go Karting @ Power Play Go Karts (2 pm to 5.30 pm)

Friday 18 July - Library Lock In @ Emerald Hill Library (6 pm to 8 pm)

Friday 18 July - Bike Workshop @ Skinners Adventure Playground

All programs are only available to young people aged 12 to18 that live or study within the City of Port Phillip.

Mondays - St Kilda Teen Takeover

Meet new friends and get stuck into baking, photography, games, trampolining and more! For grades 7 to 9.

When: 4 to 6pm - Every Monday during school term
Where: St Kilda Adventure Playground
Cost: FREE

Wednesdays - Port Melbourne Teen Takover

Come join us for gaming, cooking, crafts sport and more at our fortnightly hangout at Sandridge Community Centre in Port Melbourne. For grades 7 to 9.

When: 3.30pm to 5.30pm - Every Wednesday during school term
Where: Sandridge Community Centre, Port Melbourne
Cost: FREE

Thursdays - Games Club

Join our weekly gaming club and connect with other young gamers. Battle it out in an epic Mario Kart or Smash Bros. Tournament or give our VR headsets a go! Suitable for grades 7 to 12.

When: Every Thursday - 4pm to 5.45pm
Where: Emerald Hill Library, South Melbourne
Cost: FREE

Rawkus Live! All Ages Gig Series

RAWKUS Live is an All-ages gig series run by our Youth Events Committee in collaboration with Rock Academy Australia, bringing together the best up and coming young bands to perform in the iconic Espy Basement.

St Kilda PCYC
The St Kilda Police and Citizens' Youth Club (PCYC) offers fun and adventurous school holiday programs, as well as weekly, free youth boxing classes, open to young people aged 10 to 17 years.

The Boatshed
The Boatshed on Albert Park Lake offers school holiday and year-round accredited Australian Sailing programs for kids, teens and adults. One of their programs includes an introductory sailing program, known as Tackers, which is designed to teach sailing in a fun and engaging way for kids who are aged 7 to 12.

Camp Australia
Holidays are a time to get serious about having fun. Camp Australia creates adventures and experiences that entertain children - whether it’s for one day, every day, or anything in between. With incursions, excursions and in-program theme days, there’s something for every child.

MSAC holiday program
Treat your kids to sports galore in the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC) holiday program, designed for active kids aged five to 12. The program offers a variety of different sports and activities to challenge all levels of a child’s ability in a safe and secure environment.

OSHClub
OSHClub offers a huge variety of engaging activities from art, craft and cooking to sports, dance and drama. The programs are designed to include activities children choose to do, helping to build their independence and encourage their individual personalities to shine.
Powerhouse St Kilda Hockey Club
An inclusive and friendly hockey community that encourages all ages and abilities to enjoy team sport during school holidays and all year round.

SouthPort Community Centre's Get Out of Town program
Low-income families can enjoy fun free day activities during school holidays with Get Out Of Town (GOOT). The program brings together low income, isolated families and helps them to experience exciting, enjoyable holiday outings without the financial strain usually involved. Some meals are included.

Team Kids school holiday program
Offering a huge range of exciting incursions, excursions and in-house themes. Daily programs are specifically developed for each venue, ensuring children have a say in what is included. Activities are for children aged five to 12 years, with teacher-qualified educators and industry leading ratios.
