Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person citizenship ceremonies have been placed on hold. The City of Port Phillip is conducting online citizenship ceremonies, in partnership with the Department of Home Affairs, to support applicants to achieve citizenship during COVID-19.

2020 Schedule of Ceremony dates

All future dates for in-person ceremonies have been placed on hold.   

The Department of Home Affairs is contacting conferees with full details of the online process.  There is no need to contact the Department or your local council about your ceremony.

The Department will send you an invitation to attend an in-person ceremony once they are safe to resume.
