Women in Sport Network Café Catch-Up Keeps the Conversation Going
Developed in response to feedback from the Confident Communicators Masterclass, the Café Catch-Ups provide an opportunity for women involved in local sport to connect, share experiences and support one another between network events and activities.
The session featured reflections from Victoria Mackey, President of Port Melbourne Colts Junior Football Club, who shared insights from a leadership journey, including lessons on balancing commitments, navigating difficult conversations and leading within community sport.
Participants then explored these themes through discussion and networking, drawing on their own experiences across a range of sporting roles and organisations.
The Women in Sport Network will continue to host informal Café Catch-Ups alongside workshops, presentations and leadership opportunities, providing a range of ways for members to connect and grow. Future Café Catch-Ups will feature stories and insights from other women involved in local sport, helping to foster support, collaboration and ongoing conversation across the network.
