• Alma Road Fitness Centre bus stop at 97 Alma Rd on the Balaclava and Caulfield Hospital Loop will be closed from Monday 1 September 2025 until Monday 31 May 2027 due to construction works.

Changes to Community Bus Services Notice

During the Christmas and New Year period between Monday 22 December 2025 and Friday 09 January 2026, there will be a change to the community bus service as buses will run between 8.30am -12.00pm, as per the timetable scheduled below.

We will be closed for the public holidays on Christmas day (25 December), Boxing Day (26 December), and New Year's Day (1 January 2026).

Hop-on Hop-off free Community Bus

You don’t need a phone booking for our community bus service. The Hop-on Hop-off service is back, with a timetable for every route.

We know that not everyone can access public or private transport services. That’s why we brought back our free Hop-on, Hop-off Community Transport routed service.

The service currently operates Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 3 pm. There are over 150 community transport bus stops between Caulfield Hospital, Elwood, South Melbourne Market, Alfred Hospital and St Kilda Library.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time to ensure you get a seat.

If you need help to access or understand the route maps, please call our friendly community transport team for assistance. Office hours are 8.30 am to 2 pm Monday to Friday (except public holidays). All buses are wheelchair-accessible and great for people who may have barriers to using public transport services.

Pick up and drop off is from the Community Transport Bus stops only.
