The 15 July 2026 Council Meeting was held at St Kilda Town Hall. 

Key Decisions from the Council Meeting

  • Council resolved to become a party to the application of Native Title of the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung People.
  • Council endorsed the Submission to the Senate Environment and 
    Communications References Committee Inquiry into Artificial Intelligence and Data Centres.
  • Council endorsed the Carlisle Street, Balaclava Streetscape Plan as the guiding framework for future streetscape and public realm upgrades along Carlisle Street and associated open spaces. 
  • Council resolved to maintain the existing three Cultural Development Fund streams of Key Organisations, Festivals and Events, and Projects. 
  • Council endorsed JL Murphy Reserve as the preferred site for delivery of the Port Melbourne Netball Infrastructure Project.
