Beautify: Enhance the reserve with appropriate culinary and edible plants (native and traditional).

Share Knowledge: Encourage participation, discussions, and shared experiences.

Build Community: Create a welcoming space for residents to connect and engage.

Illuminate the Reserve: Revitalize the area with family-friendly initiatives.

Sustainable harvesting: Only harvest what is growing in abundance, both for the plant’s survival and for the benefit of others to be able to enjoy this resource too.

Collective ownership: Collective responsibility: means these gardens are for everyone in the broader community to enjoy and make use of.

Participants should understand the long-term sustainability of these gardens is ensured by fostering a strong sense of community around them and invite others to partake in their upkeep, watering and replanting through the seasons without attempting to control who can and can’t harvest from them.
