Bus

The 606 (Fisherman’s Bend to Elsternwick) bus travels along Liardet Street and passes the reserve directly.

Bus routes 250, 251, 253, 238 can be accessed from Bay Street Port Melbourne, Lagoon Reserve is one block walk east along Liardet Street.

Trams

The light rail Tram 109 (Box Hill to Port Melbourne) or Tram number 1 (East Coburg to South Melbourne Beach) are within walking distance.

About

Lagoon Reserve is located in a former industrial area of Port Melbourne on the site of a former lagoon. The reserve is a 5-minute walk to the Bay Street shopping strip. The native gardens, which contain examples of the indigenous flora of the area are a feature of the park. These gardens have been developed and maintained in partnership with Council and the local community planting group.

Restrictions

Dogs are permitted off leash though no dogs are permitted with 5 metres of the playground or picnic areas, penalties apply.
