Did you miss our last Council meeting? Here’s a recap of what was discussed.

The 18 February 2026 Council Meeting was held at St Kilda Town Hall.

Council reaffirmed its commitment to supporting older people and endorsed a new Positive Ageing model, expanding community connection programs, dedicated support services and ongoing transport, supported by increased long‑term funding.
Council awarded the Broadway Bridge superstructure deck replacement contract to Waratah Constructions (VIC) Pty Ltd, with works scheduled to commence in May 2026 and be completed by November 2026.
Council adopted the South Melbourne Market Strategic Plan 2026-30, a document that will guide the Market and support the vision to be a thriving, authentic local market for generations to come.
