We welcome community involvement in Council meetings. Here’s how you can take part, what you need to know about meeting protocols, and the options available for attending.
Please register to speak by 12pm (midday) on the day of the meeting. by completing the 'Request to Speak form' at the bottom of this webpage.

Where and when?

Location: St Kilda Town Hall or join virtually via Microsoft Teams.
Time: Meetings start at 6.30pm unless otherwise determined by Council resolution or notice under the Governance Rules. (doors open from 6.00pm). 
Watch from Home: All meetings are live-streamed on our live stream website or Facebook page. so you can follow along online.

Important Protocols

  • Individuals must speak only on their own behalf when asking public questions or making submissions. This ensures transparency, accountability, and integrity in decision-making.
  • State your name and suburb for the record. Your name will appear in the published minutes, and your audio will be live-streamed and recorded.
  • Participation is verbal only, there is no provision to display written material or presentations on screen during the meeting.
  • Be respectful and courteous at all times and follow directions from the Chair.
  • The Chair may remove anyone who disrupts the meeting or fails to comply.
  • Do not disrupt the meeting or use props, signs, or recordings without permission.
  • Filming or photography is only allowed with the Chair’s consent.
  • Do not disclose personal or confidential information about others, including names, addresses, or private details not publicly available.
