Groups or individuals do not need permission from City of Port Phillip to hold a public assembly, demonstration, protest or rally. It helps a lot if you notify Council of your activity to ensure any effects to public spaces are planned for, and impacted businesses and services are notified.

Private Building Surveyor Lodgments
If you're a private building surveyor, you can lodge a range of documentation and pay lodgment fees via our online portal. It is the responsibility of the Private Building Surveyor to ensure that all building related paperwork is lodged with Council as per the Building Regulations 2018

Planning compliance
Council as the responsible authority is required by law to administer and enforce the Port Phillip Planning Scheme (the Scheme), planning permits (permits) and s173 agreements established under the Planning and Environment Act 1987 (the Act).
