Social housing
Types of social housing
Social housing can be either community housing or public housing.
Community housing is affordable housing for people on low income or have specific needs. It is owned or run by not-for-profit community housing groups. These groups make sure the housing is safe and can be lived in for a long time.
Public housing is affordable housing provided by Homes Victoria, which is part of the Victorian Government. It also offers safe and long-term homes for people with low incomes or specific needs.
