Pay rates

Council has nine rates payment options available to residents and businesses. Please make sure you have your rate notice at hand when choosing any of these payment options.

Municipal rates and charges payment options

Please note: A card payment fee applies.

 

  • Online via our secure payment gateway and Online Services options - Visa, MasterCard and AMEX accepted. Ref: Assessment number - refer to your rates notice.
  • Telephone: BPoint ( +61) 1300 276 468 - Visa, MasterCard and AMEX accepted.
  • Biller code: 8672; Ref: please refer to your rate notice.
  • Internet BPoint Payment - Visa, MasterCard and AMEX accepted.
  • Biller code: 8672Ref: please refer to your rate notice.
  • BPay via internet or phone banking.
  • Biller code: 8672Ref: please refer to your rate notice.
  • Direct debit - by way of nine (9) equal monthly deductions from your nominated cheque or savings account. Credit cards not accepted. See option below.
  • Australia Post Office - cash, cheque, money order, EFTPOS, Visa or MasterCard accepted.
  • Port Phillip Town Hall - in person at St Kilda, Port Melbourne and South Melbourne Town Halls  cash, cheque, money order, EFTPOS, Visa, MasterCard and Amex. Note due to COVID-19 Town Halls are currently closed until further notice.
