Council has nine rates payment options available to residents and businesses. Please make sure you have your rate notice at hand when choosing any of these payment options.

Please contact Council if you are experiencing financial hardship and need information on Council's rates concessions and hardship relief policy.

Rates and charges payment options

  • Online via our secure payment gateway and Online Services

  • Direct debit - by way of nine (9) equal monthly deductions from your nominated cheque or savings account. Credit cards not accepted. See option below.
  • Australia Post Office - cash, cheque, money order, EFTPOS, Visa or MasterCard accepted.
  • Port Phillip Town Halls - Customer service counter open times
