The Port Phillip Heritage Centre is a place for connecting with our local history and discovering the objects and stories that make up the cultural heritage of the City of Port Phillip.

Housed with the Emerald Hill Library in South Melbourne, the Port Phillip Heritage Centre provides access to historical information and a rich range of experiences through its resources, programs and staff.

Port Phillip Heritage Centre

The Heritage Centre is temporarily closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. Our onsite public programs have been suspended but you can still make local history enquiries, access the Port Phillip City Collection, order image reproductions and use a range of helpful online resources.
