Renew my parking permit

Login to My Port Phillip online services to get started. 

If you do not have an account, you will need to create an account using your email address and a password.

If any details have changed, please update your account with preferred contact details and mailing address to save time during the parking permit application process

4. Add Postal Address

1. Select the permit type from the drop down list.

Note: if you wish to change the type of permit, you will need to cancel the renewal process and start a new parking permit application.

1. Enter your current parking permit number. Permit numbers are included in your renewal notification and are on your existing permit.

Permit numbers start with 4 letters, forward slash, 5 numbers, forward slash and the year it was issued.

Example: PKXX/00000/2023

2. Please select yes if you hold an accepted concession card.

• I agree to comply with all permit conditions, local laws and all relevant legislation.
• I agree to display the permit correctly as per the direction of Council.
• I understand that an application for a Visitor or Temporary Permit does not cover any vehicle until the permit is received and physically displayed in a vehicle.
• I understand and accept that there may be additional fees to make changes to the permit.
• I understand and accept that a partial refund may only be provided if the permit has more than 6 months validity remaining and the permit is returned to Council.
• I will ensure that the permit is not sold, transferred or assigned to another party.
• I acknowledge that failure to comply with the conditions of the permit may result in cancellation of the permit, and/or a fine and/or legal action.
• Correspondence including renewal notices will be sent electronically to the email address linked to this permit. It is an applicant's responsibility to ensure contact details remain current and up to date at all times.
• I understand that personal information collected on this application is in accordance with Council's Privacy Policy and will be used solely by Council for this primary purpose or other directly related purposes. 

Select the attachments tab from the left hand side and add the required identification.

If you are uploading attachments from a computer or laptop, you can do so by selecting:

1. '+ Add' button
2. 'Add file'
3. 'local drive' and selecting your file location and the correct document

If you are uploading attachments from a mobile device, you can do so by selecting:

1. pencil image
2. '+ Add' button
3. 'Add file'
4. the correct format for document upload, either 'photo library' or 'browse' for other file locations on your device, or the 'take photo or video' camera option if you want to take a new photo of a physical document to upload

Applicants who are required to pay a fee, will need to select the 'Pay Now' button in the top left corner, this will take them to the payment options.
Applicants who are not required to pay as it is their first concession permit will need to select the 'Finalise and Lodge' button which will submit their application to Council.

If your permit is about to expire and your permit details have changed (permit holder name, the property address, or vehicle registration for a registration-based permit) or if you wish to change the permit type, you will need to submit a new application. 

Parking permits can only be renewed 21 days prior to expiry. 

If your permit is due to expire in 21 days or less and you wish to change the permit type, vehicle registration or have moved to another property, you will need to lodge a new application.

If you do not have an account, you will need to register a My Port Phillip account using your email address and a password. 

We are working on making the renewal process easier for you and this includes linking existing permit details to the renewal permit which means, and you will no longer be required to provide any supporting residential or vehicle identification if this is current and meets our requirements. Concession card holders will still need to attach a copy of their valid concession card.

Check the expiry date in within 21 days and ensure you are entering the permit number into the system correctly.  All permits start with 4 letters, forward slash, 5 numbers, forward slash and the year it was issued.

Alternatively you can visit our ASSIST Team at one of our Customer service counters - City of Port Phillip to complete the renewal.  

If your permit expired more than 90 days ago, you will need to lodge a new application.

No, permits are only valid until the expiry date.

The renewal process is the same for Concession card holders, however you will need to attach or provide a copy of your valid concession card to ASSIST during the renewal process. 

The system will send you an email to your preferred email address on file when your parking permit has 21 days left prior to expiry.

If you do not have an email address, please let the Customer Service Team know so we can determine how best to remind you to renew your permit prior to expiry.
