Department of Family & Community Services - Youth & Students Branch - www.facs.gov.au.
FACS has programs targeted specifically to young people and students. It specifically assists low to middle-income families through the provision of income support for young people seeking work or undertaking education or training. FACS has responsibility for the policies, programs and evaluation of Youth Allowance, Austudy Payment, Student Financial Supplement Scheme and Fares Allowance.
The Source - www.thesource.gov.au The Source is an interactive youth website offering resources, contacts, programs and essential information. The Source provides online support and links around careers, studying, money, health, legal rights and much more. There are lots of links and array of sites all offering further opportunities for young people to participate, have a say and keep informed.

Reach Out! is a web-based service that inspires young people to help themselves through tough times. The site assists in sorting stuff out, finding help and providing online "chill-out" space.
The aim of the service is to improve young people's mental health and well being by providing support information and referrals in a format that appeals to young people.

Kids Help Line is a free and confidential, telephone counselling service for 5 to 18 year olds in Australia. The Kids Help Line web site consists of information regarding the calls the service receives, web counselling, email counselling, publications and much more.

Youth policy
Youth Action & Policy Association (NSW) - www.yapa.org.au The Youth Action and Policy Association (NSW) Inc is the peak body representing youth services and young people in New South Wales. YAPA's role is to advocate for social justice for young people and to resource and develop youth services. Advocates for the interests of young people and youth service to government, the media and the broader community; supports young people, youth services and youth workers by providing representation, training and information; lobbies and campaigns for structural reform so as to allow young people to gain a more equitable social status.
