Through its consultation with residents, the City of Port Phillip has consistently received the key parking and transport message that residents want:

  • To reduce the impact of motor vehicle on the city, through the provision of better walking, cycling and public transport networks
  • Parking to be rationalised as fairly as possible through the appropriate management of parking restrictions and permits
  • Urban planning to minimise the need for and impact of travel.

Parking policy: your questions answered The City of Port Phillip has proposed a new parking policy for new developments. The policy is aimed at ensuring there is adequate parking in the city, while also promoting non-car transport options.
