Town Hall Hire

The City of Port Phillip has 3 town halls with auditoriums:     

St Kilda Town Hall - seats 800 theatre style, 500 banquet style (no dancefloor), 400 banquet style (with dancefloor)

Port Melbourne Town Hall - 250 theatre style, 200 banquet style (no dancefloor), 150 banquet style (with dancefloor)

South Melbourne Town Hall - 400 theatre style, 300 banquet style (no dancefloor) 250 banquet style (with dancefloor) *Please note there is limited times when the South Melbourne Town Hall is available due to the Australian National Academy of Music which operates out of this venue.

These venues are used for a variety of council, community and commercial events through out the year.

Meeting Rooms

St Kilda Town Hall has 9 rooms available for hire to be used as a meeting rooms or in conjunction with the auditorium.

 

 

 

 

Council Chamber - 30 board room, 100 theatre style 

 

 

 

 

 

Gunnawarra Room - 22 board room style only

 

 

 

 

 

Nairm Room - 8 board room style only

 

 

 

 

 

St Kilda Room - 10 board room style only 

 

 

 

 

 

Wominjeka reception area - 50 people standing cocktail style

 

 

 

 

 

Yalukit Room - 16 board room style 

 

 

 

 

 

Ngargee Room - 16 board room style 

 

 

 

 

 

Training Room - 18 board room style, 40 theatre style 

 
  

Port Melbourne Town Hall has 3 rooms available for hire to be used as meeting rooms or in conjunction with the auditorium.

  • Council Chamber - 12 board room style only
  • Committee Room - 12 board room style, 25 theatre style
    (these rooms can be combined to create one large room)
  • Mayors Room - 10 board room style

All meeting rooms can be set up to you specifications with additional equipment such as flipcharts, data projector and screen, electric white boards are available upon request and incur an extra charge. Catering can be ordered to suit your needs and prices will be quoted as request.

South Melbourne Town Hall has 2 rooms available for hire however these need to be booked with the Commuinty Facility Team. You can reach them on 9209 6349.
