Background

Council first adopted a draft Sustainable Design Policy in July 2002, which was finalised as the Sustainable Design Strategy in October 2003. Following its successful operation for a number of years these documents were then updated and, in October 2006, Council formally adopted the Sustainable Design Policy 2006 and the Sustainable Design Strategy 2006. Both of these documents have been updated in 2011.
