Street Litter Bins

There are approximately 650 street litter bins throughout the City of Port Phillip. Bins are emptied on different schedules depending on their location. The bins are provided for casual public litter and should not be used for the disposal of commercial waste from shops and business premises.

Emptying Schedule

 Location Emptying schedule
Large shopping centres Daily and twice on weekends
Small shopping centres 3 times per week
Milk bars and cafes 3 times per week
Foreshore Daily to weekly

The above schedules are a guide only. Some locations are emptied more often based on the usage pattern of the bin and seasonal influences on litter generation.
