Each year the City of Port Phillip undertakes a number of major planning projects, generally reviewing major land use issues or policy changes that affect land use and development in the municipality. Current projects are included in this section.

	Beacon Cove		Changes to Beacon Cove planning controls

	Ormond Road Urban Design Guidelines		The Ormond Road Urban Design Guidelines, which are proposed to be implemented through Amendment C57 to the Port Phillip Planning Scheme, identify an appropriate form of development within the retail and residential areas of Ormond Road
	Industry and Business Strategy		The City of Port Phillip fosters relationships and facilitates development to best position Port Phillip's industrial and commercial future.
	Port Phillip Municipal Strategic Statement		Underpins land use and development provisions of the Port Phillip Planning Scheme.
	Melbourne 2030 - Metropolitan Strategy		The council has responded to the state government's Melbourne 2030 metropolitan strategy guiding planning & development for the next 30 years.
