Children's Storytimes

Storytimes at Port Phillip libraries are free and provide a great way to introduce young children to reading. Storytimes include stories and activities for babies, toddlers (tiny tots) and pre-schoolers (3 - 5 yrs).

Russian Storytime for children

Since October the library has been running a Russian storytime session for children. It will run once a month until the end of 2009, with the view to continuing in 2010 if popular. It will be a free activity for children 2-5 years of age (parents and grandparents welcome), facilitated by a qualified early development teacher.

The second session held on November 5 was extremely popular, with 30 children aged from 18 months to 5 years enjoying the program.

The next session will be held at 11.00am on Thursday, December 3, at St Kilda Library. The duration will be approximately 1/2 hour and it will be in the Russian language.
