St Kilda Foreshore Promenade Launch

Lots of people came down to the promenade to enjoy the music and entertainment.

Solar System Art installation

An art installation of the solar system was also launched on the day.

In 2008 artists and scientists constructed, between St Kilda and Port Melbourne, a model of our Solar System to a scale of 1:1 billion. The Sun sculpture is located in the reserve beside St Kilda Marina's white lighthouse.

The City of Port Phillip, Lonely Planet Foundation, Chris Lansell of Monash University, artist Cameron Robbins and Scienceworks have collaborated on this amazing art installation.
