South Melbourne Youth Festival
The South Melbourne Youth Festival is an opportunity for young people in the South and Port Melbourne to come together and have afternoon of fun.
This event is organised by Kombiz Youth Network and Inner South Community Health Services in collaboration with the City of Port Phillip and is funded by FreeZa. This event is organised and delivered by the young people who attend Kombiz Youth Network. This event is also supported by a number of community organisations.
The City of Port Phillip in conjunction with FReeZA intends to highlight and celebrate the municipality's talented young people, presenting a positive image of our youth to the whole of our community. To do this we will:
- provide young people the opportunity to develop a positive sense of self through active participation, be it either in the planning or performance of a cultural event
- foster a positive relationship between young people and the whole of their community.
