Small Poppy Fund - from little things big things grow

Raleigh Worm Farm

Skinners' Succulent Garden

The Street Garden

What is the Small Poppy Fund?

The Small Poppy Fund was established by Council to support the 2007 - 2017 Community Plan.  The Fund has an emphasis on supporting local neighbourhoods and building social connections by 'kick starting' projects in local neighbourhoods to improve living in Port Phillip.  The Fund aims to make it easier for people to take action and share their talents and resources through working together on the things that matter to their neighbourhood.

Can we get Small Poppy Funding for our idea?

The Small Poppy Fund was specifically established to cater for local people with good ideas and a capacity to take action to bring about positive improvements to neighbourhoods but who do not have access to traditional sources of public funding because they are not formal organisations.  The Fund is not intended for projects run by established organisations and community groups.

What do we need to know before we apply?

The Small Poppy Fund 36 seconds download via 56K modemapplication form and 3 minutes download via 56K modemguidelines are available online.  Potential applicants are encouraged to speak to our Community Governance Officer before submitting an application.  For more information or to discuss a potential application, contact the Community Governance team via ASSIST on 03 92096521 or email Small Poppy Fund .
