Sustainable Living
Sustainable Living At Home
Dear past and future SLAH participants:
Over nine programs since 2001, the Sustainable Living At Home program (SLAH) has been a successful way to engage Port Phillip residents and raise awareness of sustainability issues.
However, it has been decided to postpone SLAH for the 2009/10 year. This decision has been made to prioritise our other new and more direct ways for the community to take action on climate change. For example, we will be working directly with Owners Corporations of apartment blocks and commercial tenants to deliver ongoing, energy and water savings.
We encourage all those who have recently signed up to the SLAH program, and all past participants in our programs, to get involved in our other courses, events and programs running in 2009/10. A list of all our programs is provided in Environmental Programs.
We hope that you remain engaged and involved in our programs and your efforts to make Port Phillip a more sustainable community.
We have included the Frequently Asked Questions and other helpful information that is related to the Sustainable Living at Home Program for your information.Time to Take Action
We all know we need to act on climate change and make changes to our lifestyle to live more sustainably. But where to start? The solution starts at home.
