City of Port Phillip, with support from South East Water, are offering Port Phillip residents and businesses a great opportunity. Exchange your old inefficient showerhead - and get a new water-saving one for FREE!! 

Are you eligible for a new showerhead?

Ensuring you are eligible to participate in the showerhead exchange is simple:

1.  You must be a resident or business in the City of Port Phillip

2.  You must hand in your old showerhead to receive a new water efficient one

3.  You must complete the registration form that will allow South East Water to anonymously
     track your water consumption

How do you get a new water saving showerhead?

Step 1:  Remove your old showerhead and arm from your shower.

Step 2:  Take your old showerhead and your water bill to one of the six showerhead exchange points (see below for details). If you don't receive a water bill, take some photo id with your current address.

Step 3: Once at the exchange point, fill in the details on the South East Water form.

Step 4: Swap your old showerhead for your FREE brand new water efficient one. The showerheads are rated at 3 stars for water effciency

Step 5:  Take your showerhead home, install it following the instructions on the pack - and start saving water!

Step 6: Tell your friends about the Showerhead Exchange program, so they can benefit too!

To close the loop, the showerheads you exchange will be recycled and the money from scrap metal is donated to a water saving charity.

Where can you exchange your showerhead?

There are a number of showerhead exchange points throughout the municipality to make it easy for you to swap your showerhead. Current showerhead exchange points include:

Terms and Conditions

  • This program is available to South East Water customers and City of Port Phillip residents and businesses.
  • The City of Port Phillip and South East Water are not responsible for the removal or installation of the showerheads nor any damage caused as a result.
  • Should defects develop with the showerhead, please contact South East Water regarding warranties with the manufacturer of the product.
  • South East Water will act as an agent to exchange the defective showerhead.
  • The City of Port Phillip and South East Water take no responsibility for plumbing issues relating to your property as a result of this program.
  • Showerheads may not work optimally with some instantaneous hot water systems and the City of Port Phillip and South East Water bear no responsibility for this.
  • Showerheads DO NOT work with gravity fed water systems.
  • The resident must hand over their old showerhead for recycling at the time of the exchange.
  • Limited stocks are available.
