What is HANSEN?

HANSEN is the City of Port Phillip's corporate sustainable asset management system.

It provides a centralised asset register for all of Council physical assets; with the ability to manage work orders, inspections, financial audits, risk assessment, decision making, and predictive modelling.

Stage 1 of HANSEN was introduced to the City of Port Phillip in 2005, with the launch of Complex and Parks and in 2006 we went live with Roads.

The current assets classes include;

Complex

  • Buildings
  • Land

Parks

  • Park Furniture (incl. BBQ's, Footpaths, Signs)
  • Shrubs
  • Park trees to be loaded soon

Roads

  • Footpaths
  • Footpath Trip Hazard Inspection
  • Kerb and Channel
  • Drainage (Pits and Pipes)
  • Street Signs
  • Street Furniture
  • Bridges
  • Lights (decorative only)
  • Street trees to be loaded soon

HANSEN encompasses Hansen version 7.70 developed by Hansen Technologies International, now known as INFOR.  It operates on an Oracle Database system platform.  HANSEN integrates with the following corporate systems

  • Pathways Customer Service
  • AXS One
  • MapInfo
  • Latitude GIS
  • Trim

The high level of integration provides better processing and communication between systems within Council in regards to asset related information.

All enquiries about HANSEN should be directed to Helpdesk - Hansen via email or contact Robert Buehl within Asset Planning on +61 (0)3 9209 6208.
