Temporary Parking Permit
What is Temporary Parking?
Temporary parking allows people or organisations to park in specified areas for a short-term period.
When is Temporary Parking required?
Temporary parking may be required for a number of reasons including:
- Publicity events
- Commercial relocation
- Goods and materials deliveries
- Short term infrastructure works
- Resident relocation
Applying for Temporary Parking
To apply for temporary parking:
- Read & complete the Temporary Parking application form and save to your computer.
- Fax your request to Parking Enforcement on (03) 9536 2747 * or email to parkenf@portphillip.vic.gov.au
- You application will be assessed
- Once assessed the permit will be e-mailed, faxed or mailed to you or if refused you will be contacted and advised
- The council will also forward an invoice to you with the permit

Fees
Administration fee: $66.00
Plus costs as applicable for each parking bay:
- Un-metered restricted time parking: $30.00
- All Day parking ticket: $15.00
- Time restricted paid parking: $30.00
There is no charge for reasonable temporary parking in relation to resident relocation. However an application form must be submitted and approved.
Where Temporary Parking applies
Permitted vehicles are exempt from 'time limited and paid parking restrictions' (green signs) and permit, loading or taxi zones under special circumstances.
Permitted vehicles are not exempt from Clearways, No Standing Areas, No Stopping Areas and other red parking signs or other statutory regulations.
Council will not reserve the space required. The permit will only permit all day parking in the street the permit is applied for.
