The Municipal Building Surveyor has delegated authority to make decisions regarding dispensation from the regulations on behalf of the council. Some of these areas are as follows:
- Siting & Projection variations, Part 4 & 5
- Public protection measures, Regulation 604
- Land liable to flooding, Part 802 & 806
- Building over Easements, Regulation 310
