Train 

Sandringham line

The Sandringham line train connects St Kilda Town Hall and St Kilda Library with Melbourne city and other train services, via Balaclava railway station.

Travel time (add 5 minutes for the walk from the town hall or library to the station) Balaclava station, St Kilda to Flinders Street station, city - 12 minutes
First and last trains The first train to arrive at Balaclava station is at 5.38 am
The last train to leave Balaclava station (city bound) is the 11.47 pm
Train frequency 7am-9am every 10 mins
9am-4pm every 15 mins
4pm-6pm every 10-12 mins

Trams

Tram 109 Port Melbourne to Box Hill

The 109 tram connects Port Melbourne to the city and eventually the eastern suburbs. It is the primary public transport route to Port Phillip's Depot and transfer station (Montague Street stop) and Port Melbourne Town Hall (Raglan Street stop). It connects with services to South Melbourne and St Kilda (Trams 112 and 96) at the Crown Casino tram interchange.

Travel times
Allow 5 minutes walking time to reach the depot from Montague Street station.  Allow 5 minutes walking time to reach Port Melbourne Town Hall from Raglan Street stop.

Port Melbourne to Spencer Street station: 12 minutes

First tram to arrive at Montague stop from the city: 5.24 am
Last tram to leave Montague stop for the city

Tram 112 South Melbourne / St Kilda Beach - West Preston (via City)

The 112 tram connects South Melbourne and Fitzroy Street, St Kilda, as well as providing access to the CBD.  t is not as direct a link as the 96 lightrail tram between the St Kilda and South Melbourne town halls but can be useful if you miss the 96 or if you want to take a more scenic journey.

From 7am to 6pm trams run every 5-8 minutes

Tram 96 St Kilda Beach to East Brunswick

The number 96 lightrail tram is the quickest link between St Kilda and South Melbourne town halls, taking only 10 minutes. A 5-10 minute walk at each end means a typical trip can take around 20-25 minutes, comparable to the time needed for driving & parking.  The 96 also links into the Melbourne city via Swanston street.

For a walk from Acland Street stop to St Kilda Town Hall or vice versa add 10 minutes. For a walk from South Melbourne Market stop to South Melbourne Town Hall add 5 minutes
St Kilda (Acland Street terminus) to South Melbourne Market - 10 minutes

South Melbourne Market stop to Spencer Street station -13 minutes

First and last tram

First tram to arrive at Acland St is at 5.26 AM

The last tram to leave Acland St is at 12.37 AM

Airport shuttle bus

The Frankston & Peninsula Airport Shuttle bus service goes through the City of Port Phillip to Melbourne Airport (Tullmarine).  Pick up points and fare details are listed on its website.
