Limited Mobility Parking & Transport
A range of transport and parking options are available in the City of Port Phillip to older people and people with disabilities. These include the free fixed-route community bus, specific door-to-door transport for activities and appointments though the South Port Daylinks Program and the MET response bus.
Some activities and groups also offer transport as part of their programs. See Public Transport and Community Transport for more details.
Taxis
A ½ price concession taxi program and an increasing fleet of purpose designed wheelchair accessible taxis is available. See Taxis for more details.
Disabled parking
All City of Port Phillip senior citizen centres and most other council community facilities have disabled parking, making them accessible to all people.
People with mobility and other disability can also apply for a Disabled Persons Parking Permit, allowing parking in disabled parking zones and extensions of time in other defined parking zones. Assistance with residential parking for people with disabilities can also be applied for. See Parking Permits for more details.
