Be Involved in Award Winning Projects
The City of Port Phillip always has exciting projects on the go and has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards in recent years, including:
- The UN Association of Australia World Environment Day Award 2000; the Stockholm Partnership for Sustainable Cities Award 2002; and the Greenhouse Building
Nomination 2002 for its work on the Inkerman Oasis development. - The Nations in Bloom award 2003 (endorsed by the UN Environment Program), for environmental management, community well-being and quality of life.
- Double success at the Savewater Awards 2002 for best government organisation in terms of water consumption and the Minister's Award for 'contribution to water sustainability'.
- Honours at the Australian Institute of Landscape Architecture awards 2003 for the Elwood Canal Management Plan and the Hewison Reserve project.
