Our recreation centres provide activities and a sense of community for our older residents.

City of Port Phillip has a number of ways it can help our older residents.

Linking Neighbours - Senior's Register The program aim is to create links between neighbours to enable local communities to support older residents, particularly in emergency situations. The pilot project in Elwood is an initiative of the Older Persons' Consultative Committee – Port Phillip Council. The project is funded by Attorney General Department, Working Together to Manage Emergencies - Local Grants Scheme
How are you going to get there? Three free community bus routes make it easier to get around the City of Port Phillip.
In Home Support Maintenance, home care, personal care, meals provision, home library service, Petlinks and other assistance for those unable to fully look after themselves at home.
Accessible Arts and Recreation Activities in Port Phillip Download newsletters with details on accessible activities for seniors and for people with disabilities, including mental health issues, or who are in low cost accommodation such as Supported Residential Services (SRSs) and rooming houses.

Older Persons Consultative Committee An advisory body on older people's health and wellbeing issues.
Aged & Disabled Accommodation Aged and disabled accommodation facilities include nursing homes, hostels and supported residential services.
