Networks roadmap
The Networks Roadmap has been made available to local community organisations to help them access relevant networks and to facilitate the opportunities for the community service sector to help each other. We have tabled a list of local networks, (or networks that local organisations are members of) forums and advisory bodies that your organisation may want to connect to.
Why networks are valuable to you!
- Provide a forum and opportunity for information, skills and knowledge sharing
- Promote or provide opportunities for collaborations or partnerships
- Act as a lobby or advocacy group
- Provides the opportunity to raise and discuss local issues with relevant stakeholders
- Identify service or information gaps and priorities within a sector or geographic location and develop coordinated responses
- Provide professional development opportunities for network members
Community organisations and agencies, workers, community members, volunteers and committee members may find this information useful, particularly if they are new to the municipality. You are encouraged to make contact with local networks to take advantage of some of the benefits listed above. Whilst some of these networks may not be open to general membership outside of their purpose, they may be happy to share information with you.
