What are Neighbourhood Forums?

Neighbourhood forums have offered a chance for two-way conversation between the council and residents. Each neighbourhood forum presents a chance for residents to talk face to face with councillors and council staff and chat about the things that are important to them.

The concept of the neighbourhood forums developed from a City of Port Phillip' initiative to help grow democracy across the city. Rather than people having to attend the council chambers to participate, the idea behind neighbourhood forums is to bring the council to residents.
