Some Mouri's display their traditional dances - many different cultures existing happily together in City of Port Phillip.

The City of Port Phillip promotes positive community relationships. As well providing a range of services and advice to assist people from non-English speaking backgrounds, the council works hard to provide our community with information on which to base its own thinking on multicultural issues.

Multicultural Services Nearly a quarter of residents in the City of Port Phillip speak languages other than English at home. The council offers a a range of services to improve council/community dialogue.
Citizenship Ceremonies Citizenship ceremonies are held approximately every 6 - 8 weeks at the St Kilda Town Hall.
Multicultural Strategic Framework The Multicultural Strategic Framework guides the development and implementation of broad ranging council policy and programs provided to our multicultural residents and ethnic groups.
Multicultural Celebration Fund A small grants program designed for multicultural groups to celebrate religious / cultural days of significance.
Culturally Equitable Gateways Project (CEGS) The Culturally Equitable Gateways Strategy (CEGS) aim is to ensure that older people from ethnic communities have improved access to Aging and Community Care services at the Port Phillip council.

City of Port Phillip Multifaith Network The Port Phillip Multifaith Network consists of representatives of various faiths existing in Port Phillip, meeting to discuss issues that matter to each of faith communities as well as the wider community
