Luna Park Tram Interchange Renewal

The following works were completed at the Luna Park Interchange in the 2010/2011 Financial Year

  • New Super Tram Stop (Yarra Trams)
  • Realignment of tram tracks throughout the junction (Yarra Trams)
  • Reinstatement of palm trees and associated landscaping in the central median
  • Associated civil works linked to Super Tram Stop (CoPP/Yarra Trams)
  • Splitter islands, associated civil works and landscaping

The following works will be completed at the Luna Park Interchange in the 2011/2012 Financial Year

  • Raised pedestrian crossing at North Acland Street will be constructed by the end of November 2011
  • Resheet of road pavment and associated linemarking at bus stop (near McDonalds) to be completed by the end of November 2011

 

Council is currently in the process of revising a design for the Luna Park Forecourt, which will include new public lighting and a raised zebra crossing across Cavell Street .
