2016 Summer Leisure and Lifestyle 

Participant registration for the 2016 Leisure and Lifestyle Program is NOW OPEN!!  

All activities are free of charge and only on offer to local Port Phillip residents.

Full details for each program is listed below along with relevant program application form.

Skate Program

Learn to skate lessons suitable for 7+ to 25 years (Helmets and skate boards provided)

Day/Time: Monday to Friday 10:00am -12:00pm

Dates: between 4 – 8 January 2016 (Attendance is required each day)

Location: Marina Reserve Skate Park, St Kilda

Number of Sessions Per Participant: 5 sessions 

 

 

Tai Chi & Qigong

Classes suitable for all ages and abilities.

Day/Time: Wednesday 9:30am - 10:30am

Dates: 3 February – 9 March 2016

Location: Elwood Sailing Club

Number of Sessions Per Participant: 6 sessions

 

 

Women's Outdoor Fitness Training

Classes suitable for all ages and abilities.

Day/Time: Tuesday 6:30pm - 7:30pm or Saturday 9:00am - 10:00am

Dates: 2 February - 8 March 2016 (Tuesday session), 30 January - 5 March 2016 (Saturday session) 

Location: Alma Park, St Kilda East 

Number of Sessions Per Participant: 6 sessions

 

Progressive Relaxation

Classes suitable for all ages and abilities.

Day/Time: Friday 10:00am - 11:00am 

Dates: 5 - 26 February 2016

Location: Edwards Park, Port Melbourne 

Number of Sessions Per Participant: 4 sessions

 

Beach Volleyball Sessions

Classes suitable for people from 18 years and over.

Day/Time: Saturday 12:00pm - 2:00pm

Dates: 20 or 27 February, 5 or 12 March 2016 (participants to select one date only)

Location: South Melbourne Beach

Number of Sessions Per Participant: 1 session

Women's Outdoor Spin Classes

Spin classes on stationary wind trainers. Suitable for beginners and intermediate fitness levels.

Day/Time: Tuesday 6:30pm - 7:15pm (Beginner), 7:30pm - 8:15pm (Intermediate)

Dates: 2 February - 8 March 2016 (Participants to select one timeslot that suits their fitness level)

Location: Carnival Site, Elwood Foreshore

Number of Sessions Per Participant: 6 sessions

 

Learn To Sail Program - (No longer taking applications as the program is over subscribed)

Learn to Sail Program. Suitable for families of all ages and abilities.

Day/Time: Sunday 9:30am - 12:30pm

Dates: 31 January - 6 March 2016

Location: Albert Park Lake

Number of Sessions Per Participant: 6 sessions

 

Ladies Bike Skills & Group Ride 

Learn to ride classes for women. Participants must have some previous riding experience.

Day/Time: Saturday 1:00pm - 2:30pm

Dates: 6, 13, 20 February 2016

Location: Elwood Primary School, Synthetic Surface Area)

Number of Sessions Per Participant: 3 sessions

 

Stand Up Paddle Boarding Class

Learn to SUP. Suitable for all ages and abilities. 

Day/Time:  Wednesday 8:00am - 9:30am or 10:00am - 11:30am - Saturday sessions are now FULL.

Dates: 20 January 2016 (Participants are to nominate 1 session only)

Location: Elwood Beach
