Community participation in ISEPICH
ISEPICH (Inner South East Partnership in Community and Health) welcomes community participation in all activities.
Community members can serve on the Community Advisory Group (CAG), or on working groups on health promotion and service coordination, or register to be consulted on health issues of interest.
ISEPICH pays an honorarium to consumers, carers and community representatives for participation in these activities. Expenses such as travel costs, carer respite and childcare can also be reimbursed.
Community members are also welcome at all public forums held by ISEPICH.
Please contact the Acting Executive Officer, Val Kay, on (03) 9209 6394 or vkay@portphillip.vic.gov.au if you would like to find out more about becoming involved in ISEPICH as a community representative.

Charter of Rights
The Community Advisory Group has developed a Charter of Rights for ISEPICH Community Members. The Charter outlines the rights and responsibilities of community members who use ISEPICH member agencies' services. The Charter was developed in 2001 and revised in 2006.

The charter is attached to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that all agencies sign when they join ISEPICH. It serves as a set of principles that apply to all member agencies.

Quality of health information
Poor communication is the biggest single source of complaints of health services.
To assist ISEPICH members in addressing this issue, the Quality Steering Committee and the Community Advisory Group developed a set of principles for quality health information, which are attached to the ISEPICH Memorandum of Understanding.
