Purpose of this strategy

The City of Port Phillip has developed an Industry and Business Strategy that addresses that changing nature and function of industrial land within the municipality and the economic environment that is affecting the future of industrial land in inner Melbourne.

Rather than a static blueprint for Port Phillip's industrial areas, this strategy presents an overall framework to both guide and influence development over the medium to long term. Accordingly, the strategy cannot anticipate all likely future eventualities and flexibility is required to ensure creative ideas and innovative proposals are encouraged.
