How you can work with JCAAA?
How can Sports, Recreation & Arts Providers work with JCAAA?
JCAAA is currently working with a wide range of sport, recreational and arts providers including local sporting clubs, health and fitness facilities, recreation and community centres, arts organisations and community events, to support them to be inclusive of people with disabilities. These providers offer a range of opportunities for people of all abilities.
If you are a sport, recreation or arts provider JCAAA can provide:
- Access to information, resources and training on how to include people with disabilities
- Advice and support in planning and implementing inclusive initiatives
- Support to develop these initiatives into ongoing sustainable programs
- Assistance in promoting inclusive initiatives to an extensive network of services and individuals
- Assistance and support in applying for grants and funding opportunities
How can Community Service Providers work with JCAAA?
JCAAA works with a range of community service providers such as Disability Services, Mental Health Services, Community Health Services, Schools and Further Education, Community Agencies and Children and Youth Services to assist them to link in to sport, recreational and arts opportunities.
JCAAA assists with:
- Developing partnerships between community service providers and local sport, recreation and arts providers
- Promoting inclusive sport, recreation and the arts
- Linking community service providers to local sport, recreation and the arts
What does JCAAA do for Individuals, Parents and Carers?
JCAAA provides information and advice to individuals, parents and carers about local inclusive sport, recreational and arts activities as well as local inclusive school holiday programs and youth activities.
JCAAA creates ways to:
- Gain respite for carers through recreation
- Pursue interests and develop skills
- Socialise and make friends
- Connect with the local community
- Develop inclusive activities
- Advocate inclusive activities
- Build community capacity through networking and partnerships

JCAAA are always looking for energetic, fun and responsible Casual Disability Support Workers to work on a range of art and recreational programs.
