How to apply for Childcare in the City of Port Phillip

The City of Port Phillip operates a waiting list for its Council-Managed Children's Centres. It is a centralised contact point for information related to long day care (including kindergarten programs that operate within the service) and Home-Based Childcare.

Council is currently in the process of merging Community Managed Childcare Centres onto this centralised system.

To register your child's details and requirements, please call 9209 6360.  Where possible we encourage families to visit services prior to registration.

If your requirements fit an available place at a service, you will be notified by that service.

In order to keep this wait list up to date and current, registered families will receive correspondence from Council. To remain on the wait list, families need to reply to this corresponence by the required date confirming details and/or where applicable request changes to registration details.

The centralised wait list allows Council to provide equity of access to the local services, analyse community demand and allow Council to strategically plan and develop future services for children and families within the City of Port Phillip.

How to apply for all other Children's Services in the City of Port Phillip

If you are interested in applying for any other children's services that are not on the centralised wait list (KindergartensCommercial children's services  and Independent children's services), please contact services directly to register your child's name.
