Household Chemical Disposal

New Service for Port Phillip Residents!

Thanks to a joint partnership between the City of Port Phillip and Sustainability Victoria, residents can now drop off household paint, batteries and fluorescent lamps and compact flourescent lamps (CFLs) free of charge at the Port Phillip Resource Recovery Centre.  Please visit the Resource Recovery Centre page for details or call the office on (03) 9209 6686.

Detox your Home Program

If your home has old or unwanted chemicals or other dangerous items(aside from those accepted at the Resource Recovery Centre) that you would like to dispose of, take them along to Sustainability Victoria's FREE household chemical collection days.

What Can I Take to the Chemical Collection?

The mobile collection services accept a range of materials including fuels , garden chemicals and cleaning products.  For a full list of what you can and cant take to a mobile collection click here.
