The City of Port Phillip and its community provide a wide range of services to support parents and carers who are raising children. We believe that all children should have the opportunity to develop to their full potential.

Creating a Child Friendly City A plan that provides greater opportunities for children's health, development, protection and care; fostering children's resilience, creativity and joy. It identifies priority areas and specific actions to be achieved over the next three years.

Home-Based Child Care Home-Based Child Care (also known as Family Day Care) is a professional home-based child care service established in Australia for over 30 years. Over 90,000 children are currently enrolled through 340 schemes servicing over 12,000 carers in almost every region of Australia.
Babies & Children Health and development, support resources for parents, play groups, safety and care, toy library locations, baby capsule hire.
Children with Additional Needs Service providing respite care and assistance to families with children and young people with disabilities. The service is provided for children and young people up to the age of 18 years.

Family Support City of Port Phillip Family Support Service is a free confidential services for families with children under the age of 18 years living in the City of Port Phillip and having difficulties in their every day life.
Vacation Care Programs Each school holiday season the council runs a program of activities and events held in local schools. We also run camp programs for children aged 9 - 12 years old.
Immunisation The City of Port Phillip offers a comprehensive community immunisation program for children and adults. Free meningococcal vaccines are now available for infants and young people.
Maternal & Child Health Centres Free services available to all families with children from birth to school entry age including; breastfeeding, immunisation, nutrition, child health, accident and injury prevention.
Schools, Care & Holidays Primary & secondary schools, before/after school care, school holiday programs, school entry immunisation certificate, school & public holiday dates.
